World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) is an international nonprofit organization that connects volunteers with sustainable agriculture and rural tourism opportunities. In Portugal, over 150 farms participate in the WWOOF network, hosting volunteers known as WWOOFers.
Currently, all volunteer arrangements must be made through the website, which presents a challenge for volunteers due to its lack of mobile optimization.
Since volunteers typically rely on mobile devices rather than laptops during their travels, there's a clear preference for a mobile-first experience. This academic project aims to design a mobile app to streamline the volunteer arrangement process and enhance user experience.

The project focused on designing a mobile app that adheres to the native guidelines of an operating system, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Following iOS developer guidelines, I incorporated WWOOF’s signature green to maintain brand consistency, while carefully adjusting layouts, typography, and components to align with Apple's design standards.
This approach not only ensures visual cohesion but also enhances usability by leveraging familiar design patterns, making it easier for users to navigate and interact with the app.
